Affordable Housing Trust votes to expand rental assistance program

LITTLETON — The Littleton Affordable Housing Trust voted unanimously to seek Community Preservation Committee funding to expand its rental assistance program. Vice-Chair Bartlett Harvey reported that approximately $70,000 of the $120,000 allocated for the Littleton Rental Assistance Program in fiscal 2025 has been spent supporting current recipients. The board voted to request CPC funds to meet the $120,000 annual target needed to support 20 families.
In other business, the board declined to pursue the Tuttle House donation for affordable housing due to retrofit costs and asked Chair Marianne Heer to explore alternative uses. Town Planner Maren Toohill recommended updating the town's Housing Production Plan at an estimated $50,000 cost to be funded through CPC.
